A plain-English guide for getting your brand listed on Brandkit — even if you've never done anything like this before.
Which plan are you submitting?
Publish your primary logo (SVG + PNG). Perfect for getting your brand on the map quickly.
Your full brand kit — all logos, logomarks, typography and colour palette. One-time fee.
Follow these steps in order. Each step builds on the last — don't skip ahead.
Sign up or log in to your Brandkit Portal — it takes under a minute.
Head to brandkit.ng/portal and click "Sign Up". Enter your email, create a password and verify your email address. Once verified, you land directly on your dashboard, ready to submit.
Pick Free (logo only) or Pro (full brand kit) based on what you want to publish.
The Free plan lets you publish your primary logo in SVG and PNG. The Pro plan (₦5,000 one-time) unlocks your full brand kit — logos, logomarks, typography, and colour palette. You can always upgrade later.
Export your logos in the exact formats required before uploading.
Your logo files must be prepared by your designer before uploading. Brandkit accepts SVG and PNG only — no JPG, no PDF, no AI files. Each file must be on a transparent background. PNG files should be exported at minimum 1,000px wide.
Tell us your brand name, category, entity type and a short description.
In the submission form, enter your Brand Name exactly as it appears publicly. Select the closest Brand Category from the dropdown (e.g. Tech Startup, Fashion, Fintech). Choose your Entity Type — Business, Company, Non-Profit, or Not Registered. Add your website and Instagram handle if you have them.
Drag and drop (or click to select) each file into the correct upload slot.
Each upload slot is clearly labelled — Main Logo (SVG), Main Logo (PNG), Logomark (SVG), and so on. Click the card to open your file explorer, then select the matching file. A preview appears once the file is accepted. If the preview is blank or broken, the file format is wrong.
Pro submitters: specify your brand fonts and exact colour palette.
On the Pro form, after uploading logos you will see a Typography section — enter your brand font names (e.g. "Neue Haas Grotesk, Inter"). Then in the Brand Colours section, use the colour picker to add each colour from your palette. Click "Add Colour" to include up to 6 swatches.
Double-check everything, then hit Submit. Your brand goes live after review.
Scroll back up and review each field and file preview before submitting. For Pro, click "Pay & Submit" to complete the ₦5,000 payment via Paystack — your brandkit is held in review until payment is confirmed. Free submissions go straight to review. Most kits are approved and live within 24 hours.
Share this table with your designer so they know exactly what to export.
| Asset | Formats Required | Background | Min Size | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Main LogoRequired | SVGPNG | Transparent | 1,000px wide (height auto) | Full wordmark or lettermark — the primary representation of your brand. |
Light Logo Pro | SVGPNG | Transparent | 1,000px wide (height auto) | A reversed/white version of your main logo — for use on dark backgrounds. |
Logomark Pro | SVGPNG | Transparent | 1,000px wide (height auto) | The icon or symbol element of your logo, without the wordmark. |
Light Logomark Pro | SVGPNG | Transparent | 1,000px wide (height auto) | Reversed/white version of your logomark — for dark backgrounds. |
Brand Imagery Pro | PNGJPG | Any | 1,080 × 1,080px | Up to 3 high-resolution photos representing your brand style. |
Designer tip: In Figma, select your logo frame → right-click → Export → choose SVG. For PNG, set the scale to 4× and export. Always check that the background is transparent (the Figma canvas grid should show through).
List every font your brand uses — including the display font for headlines and the body font for smaller text. Use the exact name as it appears on Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts.
Example for a typical Nigerian tech brand
Use the colour picker in the Pro form to add each of your brand colours. You can paste a HEX code directly. Include your primary, secondary and any key accent colours.
Ask your designer to export the logo directly from Illustrator (File → Export → SVG) or Figma (right-click → Copy/Paste as SVG or Export as SVG). If you designed it yourself in Canva, you can export as SVG from any Canva Pro account.
Not yet via the form — but send us a message via the Help Center and our team can manually update specific assets. A self-serve edit feature is coming soon.
Common reasons: wrong file format (JPG instead of PNG/SVG), white background instead of transparent, logo quality too low, or brand name mismatch with the uploaded assets. Check the rejection email for the specific reason.
No — it's a one-time, lifetime fee. Pay once and your full brand kit is hosted on Brandkit permanently at no recurring cost.
All approved brand kits are publicly accessible on Brandkit. Anyone can view and download your assets under the Brandkit licence — which protects against misuse while allowing developers and designers to use them legitimately.
A logo (or wordmark) includes your brand name as text, often styled with a symbol. A logomark is just the symbol or icon on its own — like the Apple apple or the Nike swoosh, without any text.
